Terms of service

These terms cover your purchase and use of QevixLabs software. Buying a licence means you accept them.

Your licence

A licence lets you install and use the paid product on the number of sites or installs your plan allows, for as long as the licence is valid.

The software stays ours. You may use it, modify it for your own installs and keep using what you have installed; you may not resell it, redistribute it, or share your licence key outside your own organisation. Where a product is published under an open-source licence, nothing here takes away a right that licence gives you - what you are buying is the licence to receive updates and support from us, not permission to run the code.

Seats

Activating an install takes a seat. Deactivating it frees the seat immediately, and you can move between installs as often as you like. If you need more seats than your plan has, upgrade - we would rather you did that than share a key.

Updates and support

A valid licence entitles you to updates and to our support for as long as it is valid. If your licence lapses, what you already installed keeps working - we do not disable software you paid for - but it stops receiving new updates until you renew. Support is never gated on your licence being current; if you have a problem, write to us either way.

Subscriptions and renewals

Subscription plans renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves your licence valid until the end of the period you already paid for. You can cancel yourself from your account at any time - we do not ask you to email us to leave.

Trials convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. We email you before the first charge; a surprise charge is bad for both of us.

When we revoke a licence

We revoke a licence in two situations: a full refund, and abuse of the terms above (typically redistributing keys). Revocation takes effect on the licensed install at its next licence check. We will always tell you by email when we do it.

What we promise, and what we do not

We promise the software does what our documentation says it does, and that we will fix it when it does not. Beyond that the software is provided as is: the environments our products run in are complex, and we cannot warrant that ours will be free of conflicts with every other piece of software you also run.

Nothing here limits our liability for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data or business interruption - please keep backups regardless of what software you run.

Your responsibilities

Keep your licence key and account credentials to yourself; anyone holding your key can use your seats. Do not use our software to break the law or attack anyone. Keep backups.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will say so on this page and the date below will move. Continuing to use the software after that means you accept the change; if you do not, the refund policy is right there.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Nepal have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before it gets that far, please email us - every dispute we have ever had was a misunderstanding resolved in one message.
